YSS is delighted to announce it has recently received accreditation from Worcestershire Works Well, a scheme designed to support businesses to improve the health and wellbeing of their employees.

YSS recognises that healthier people tend to be happier, tend to play an active role and contribute to society and the economy through their families, local communities and workplaces. Conversely, poor health and wellbeing puts a huge strain on individuals, the NHS, the economy and society.

Worcestershire Works Well consists of nine standards, including promoting good health, smoking and tobacco control, healthy eating, health and safety, mental health and wellbeing, physical activity, alcohol and substance misuse, attendance management and leadership.

Lorraine Preece, YSS Chief Executive, said: "We recognise that people spend a substantial proportion of their daily lives in the workplace, and that YSS can play a vital role in improving the health and wellbeing of our workforce.

"The health and wellbeing of staff and volunteers is an ongoing focus at YSS, and having recently appointed a YSS Health and Wellbeing Champion, we are delighted to have received accreditation from Worcestershire Works Well.”
