*Please note this event has now ended.*

A conference organised and constructed by a partnership between young people and partners of No Wrong Door is giving young people in Herefordshire the opportunity to explore the nature of identity and have their voices heard by local decision makers. No Wrong Door is a HVOSS project funded by the West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner’s Office.

About the conference:

What is identity? How do you feel about yourself? What's the difference between understanding, tolerating and accepting different indentities? Are you the same person online as you are in real life?

Everyone is Someone is a one-day event where we'll talk about and explore the nature of identity. Co-organised and co-run by young people for young people living in Herefordshire, we've invited local decision makers to come along and listen to what we've got to say.

It's a unique opportunity for the county's decision makers to hear the unedited views of Herefordshire's young people as they discuss the challenges of multi-faceted identities and how to change toward an acceptance of everyone.

If you're aged between 14 and 25, or you are from a youth club, school, college or other youth people's group please register now. Space is limited and tickets are first come, first served.

The conference is free and lunch will be provided.

On the day you can come along to three of these workshops (you choose the workshops you want to go to):

  • What is identity? Explore how identity is designed and the differences between our real life and our online identities
  • Wellbeing & identity... Is it within your power to change how you feel about yourself?
  • What is the difference between understanding, tolerance and acceptance?
  • The power of words! How do we think about words and how can we stand up against cruel language?
  • Self expression: finding the postitives in self confidence and enabling self-expression.

There'll also be a welcome speech and comments from Anthea Mcintyre, MEP for the West Midlands.

Arrive at 9.30am for a 10am start. Please note that tickets are limited.

This is our first ever conference and spaces are limited. Because Everyone is Someone is being put on by young people for young people, tickets are not available to the wider public. If you want to attend but you're not sure if you, your school, college, youth group or club can register, please call 01432 343932, email [email protected] or send a FB message to facebook.com/NoWrongDoorHereford.
